Does he like me or not?

I had a situation like this in high school, and it practically lasted the entire four years. Like you, I kind of liked the guy back, but he never seemed to get it together enough to ask me out or anything. He just displayed this love/hate behavior towards me and played head games. It turned out to be a colossal waste of my time (I could probably have been with so many other people and instead I waste time waiting around for him to get his head straight). This guy is now married and has children, so he did eventually mature beyond a grade schooler, but after we were both long gone from our hometown. So, in short, he's extremely immature. Maybe in a year or so he'll get his act together and mature enough to treat you like you deserve to be treated, but I honestly doubt it. Don't waste your precious time on him like I wasted mine. You're young and there are plenty of other guys to like. Forget about him. He finally finds his marbles and can deal with his feelings maturely, I'm sure you'll be the first to know.
